Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Hurghada to Luxor
05.00 am on the agreed time, we will pick you up at the reception after picking your breakfast boxes to start your way to Luxor.
06.00 am short break by the check point to start our way to Luxor as it starts 06.00 am.
07.00 am 20 minutes short break at nice lounge in the middle of the desert to use the toilets (10 L.E per person), enjoy your morning coffee, have your breakfast and nice chance to see the Bedouins around the area.
09.30 am Karnak temple
Your first stop will be the Karnak complex and your guide will explain you why it is called complex not just temple. Karnak is the biggest temple all over the world and here you can see pylons, chapels, statutes, huge columns, hieroglyphics reliefs, and Obelisks. Open your heart and mind and listen to your guide and learn about ancient Egyptian religion, Pharaohs, religious rituals, and more. Do not miss Hatshepsut Obelisk, The biggest Scarab in Egypt, Sacred Lake, and the Biggest Hypostyle Hall with 136 massive columns.
At your free time, marvel Ptah temple and Sekhmet Chapel, the White chapel of pharaoh Senusret I, The Red Chapel of Hatshepsut, the temple of Ramesses III, Mut temple, and Khonsu temple.
11.30 am lunch
Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch at a local restaurant with Nile View including vegetarian meals, normal meals with meat and fish or vegan meals.
12.15 pm short motorboat ride
After lunch, you will enjoy a short ride with a motor boat from east bank to west bank where you will meet your car to complete your Luxor day tour.
13.00 pm Memnon Colossi
Your tour on Luxor west bank will start with a 15 minutes short stop by the huge statutes of Amenhotep III decorating one day the entrance of his Mortuary temple on Luxor west bank. The statutes called Colossi of Memnon and they are the second biggest in Egypt after those of Abu Simbel.
13.45 Alabaster Factory
In case if you like to have a short stop to experience how ancient Egyptian craftsmen in ancient Egypt cut the stones, and converted into statutes, vases or whatever you will see there. You can escape this stop if you like.
14.30 Hatshepsut temple
A unique temple for a unique female Pharaoh designed by a unique engineer called Senmut. Hatshepsut temple has an amazing design and offers a huge information about the rule of women in ancient Egypt. Moreover, Hathor chapel, Anubis Chapel, Punt expedition and the Divine Birth story are not missed.
15.45 pm Valley of the Kings
Your last stop on Luxor west bank will be the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of the Pharaohs of the New Kingdom. The Kings of the 18th Dynasty, 19th Dynasty, and 20th Dynasty dug their tombs inside the mountain. More than 62 tombs including the tomb of Tutankhamun with all the treasures we found inside.
Once you reach the entrance with an electric car, your guide will explain you all and recommend the most beautiful 3 tombs out of 7 opened tombs included in the ticket. Also, if you like to add one or two more tombs, there are 3 tombs against charge as following
- KV9 – Ramesses V, Ramesses VI tomb EGP 150
- KV17 – Seti I EGP 1400 per person
- KV62 -Tutankhamun EGP 360 per person
At the end of your tour to the Pharaonic tombs in the Valley of the Kings and learning more about Egyptian gods and goddesses, the funerary beliefs in ancient Egypt, and the tomb rubbers, you will start your way to Luxor train station.
17.30 pm Luxor train station
At the end of your Luxor attractions, you will have an hour free time you can have a drink, make some shopping or you may add Luxor temple to the itinerary against charge.
18.55 Luxor to Aswan VIP train
The distance between Luxor and Aswan is about 300km and it takes around 3 hours with some short stops at Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Kalabsha. upon arrival to Aswan, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2 Aswan – Hurghada

09.30 am The High Dam is one of the largest dams in the world in the 20th century. The dam was built to provide hydroelectric power and improve irrigation for agriculture. It is considered the fourth Pyramid in Egypt. If you are in Aswan, you cannot miss the High Dam to see how it has a profound impact on the people and economy of Egypt.
10.30 am Philae temple with short motorboat ride
Goddess Isis temple on Agilika island is one of the most beautiful Pharaonic temples in whole Egypt. Philae temple is one of the best-preserved examples of Ancient Egyptian architecture during the Greco-Roman era. The temple was dedicated to Isis, wife of Osiris and the reliefs show various scenes from Egyptian mythology. Your guide will explain you how they relocated the temples and the important of the two Obelisks found in Philae helping the scholars to read the hieroglyphics.
12.30 Unfinished Obelisk at the granite quarries
Lat stop in Aswan will be the Granite quarries from where they cut a very good quality of red granite. The unfinished Obelisk was abandoned due to a crack that appeared in the stone during the carving process. Furthermore, the obelisk is one of Aswan top attractions but it is very good was to more about the ancient Egyptian quarrying and carving techniques.
Finally, it is time to go for lunch

Enjoy a light lunch in Aswan before you take the train back to Qena then Hurghada,
15.00 pm VIP train Aswan – Qena
enjoy 4 hours ride between Aswan and Qena in the VIP train and see part of Egypt from the window.
