 Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Luxor – West Bank & East Bank Sightseeing – Esna Embarkation

Upon your arrival in Luxor (at the Airport, Hotel, or Train Station), your guide will provide seamless meet-and-assist services. Your full-day Luxor sightseeing tour begins immediately.

Start your discovery on the East Bank of the Nile with a visit to the colossal Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built. Explore the awe-inspiring Great Hypostyle Hall with its magnificent towering columns and the sacred lake, marking this as a must-see archaeological site.

Next, cross to the legendary West Bank of the Nile. Here, you will explore the famed Valley of the Kings, the ancient burial site of Pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. You will visit three of the most remarkable royal tombs carved deep into the desert rock.

Continue to the breathtaking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, an architectural masterpiece of ancient Egypt built dramatically into the limestone cliffs.

Conclude your tour with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues that stand as the last guardians of a once-magnificent temple complex.

After your comprehensive tour, you will be driven approximately one hour south to the city of Esna. Here, you will embark on your elegant Nile Holiday Dahabiya Nile Cruise. Upon boarding, the professional crew will offer a warm Egyptian welcome with refreshments and assist with your luggage.

As the Dahabiya sets sail toward El Hegz Island, settle in for a relaxing evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner served either on the sundeck under the stars or on the tranquil riverbank. Overnight onboard anchored at El Hegz Island.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Nile Sailing – Edfu Temple Visit – Relaxing by Ramadi

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on deck while your Dahabiya gently sails south along the picturesque Nile River toward the town of Edfu.

Upon arrival, you will take a charming horse-drawn carriage ride to visit the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu. This is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated entirely to the falcon-headed god Horus Behdity. Its massive pylons and detailed reliefs offer a profound glimpse into Pharaonic rituals.

Return to your Dahabiya for lunch onboard as your private cruise continues sailing through the spectacular Nile Valley. Take time to relax and soak in the scenic views of traditional Egyptian village life—you’ll see fishermen, farmers, and palm trees lining the riverbanks.

By sunset, your luxury sailboat will anchor near Ramadi Island. Here, you will enjoy a delicious dinner surrounded by the peaceful, soothing sounds of the Nile and nature.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Gebel El Silsila Quarries – Kom Ombo Temple – Sailing South

Start your morning with a tranquil sail toward the historic site of Gebel El Silsila, enjoying a fresh breakfast on the sun deck as you pass through one of the most scenic stretches of the Nile.

Against charge, disembark to explore the ancient sandstone quarries of Gebel El Silsila, which provided the stone for many famous Egyptian temples. You will visit the unique Rock-Cut Temple of Pharaoh Horemheb and have the option to climb to a viewpoint for an incredible panoramic view of the river.

Return to your Dahabiya and continue sailing south toward the famous Kom Ombo. Along the way, observe the daily rhythm of life in the riverbank communities and enjoy the sounds of the local wildlife.

Upon arrival, visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo. This temple is distinctive because it is a double temple, dedicated equally to two separate deities: Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and Sobek (the Crocodile God). The temple is famous for its perfectly symmetrical layout with twin entrances and sanctuaries.

Enjoy lunch onboard and continue your leisurely sail toward Aswan. The Dahabiya will anchor near Al Bashir Island for your final serene river anchorage.

Day 4: Aswan Sightseeing Tour – Philae Temple & High Dam

After breakfast onboard, begin your comprehensive Aswan sightseeing tour, discovering the gems of this beautiful Nubian city.

Your tour starts at the Unfinished Obelisk located in the ancient granite quarries. This site reveals the incredible techniques used by ancient Egyptians to carve massive monuments from solid rock.

Continue to the impressive Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that dramatically controls the Nile’s annual floods and provides essential hydroelectric power to Egypt.

Conclude your historical journey with a short motorboat ride to the stunning Philae Temple. This sanctuary, dedicated to the powerful goddess Isis, was meticulously and beautifully relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam, making it a spectacular photo opportunity.

Return to your Dahabiya for lunch and enjoy a relaxing late afternoon. Savor your final, gourmet dinner onboard your luxury sailboat.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Disembarkation in Aswan – Optional Excursion to Abu Simbel

Following your final breakfast onboard, it will be time to disembark your Dahabiya. Our representative will ensure a smooth transfer to your next destination in Aswan (Hotel, Airport, or Train Station) at your convenience.

Optional Excursion

You have the choice to take a separate, highly recommended excursion to the world-famous Abu Simbel Temples, either by road or by air.
