Day 1: Arrival in Luxor & East Bank Treasures

Welcome to Luxor! Your guide will meet you at the reception of your Luxor hotel, train station, or Luxor Airport to begin your incredible 4-nights private Dahabiya Nile Cruise adventure. Your journey starts with a tour of the magnificent Luxor attractions on the East Bank of the Nile River.

First, you will explore the vast Karnak Temple complex, a monumental city of temples, chapels, and halls that grew over two millennia. Walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes to pass the first Pylon and reach the Open Court. Here, you will see the sacred Barque shrine of Seti and the unique Taharqa Column. Then, the Great Hypostyle Hall, a forest of 134 towering columns that represent one of the most stunning architectural achievements of ancient Egypt.

You will admire the 6 colossi of Ramesses, his Obelisk and Pylon gate decorated with vivid reliefs depicting the Battle of Kadesh.

You’ll then walk through the magnificent Colonnade of Amenhotep III; a grand processional hallway lined with 14 towering papyrus columns. The walls of this hall are beautifully decorated with scenes from the annual Opet Festival celebrated between Karnak and Luxor temples. Deeper within the temple, marvel at the Divine Birth Room depict the mythical divine birth of Amenhotep III, and Alexander Chapel.

Your Dahabiya will be moored on the serene West Bank of Luxor for the night, where you can choose to enjoy a peaceful evening stroll or, as an optional extra, attend the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple.

Day 2: Luxor West Bank Wonders & Sailing to Edfu

Your journey into the past begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground for pharaohs of the New Kingdom. Here, you will descend into three decorated tombs of ancient rulers, marveling at the vibrant hieroglyphs and intricate artwork that have survived for millennia.

Day 3: Edfu Temple & Gebel El Silsila

You will travel in a unique and traditional horse-drawn carriage to the magnificent Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Your private guide will lead you through this stunning sanctuary, where towering pylons and intricately carved hieroglyphs tell stories of ancient myths and rituals.
