Day 1 Cairo

Welcome to Egypt, once you arrive at Cairo International Airport, our representative will help you with the arrival procedures then take you in a private car to your hotel to have smooth check-in.

Enjoy your first breakfast in your Cairo hotel then your guide will join you in a modern A/C vehicle to Giza attractions.

Giza Pyramids

The Pyramids of Giza are on the top of Egypt tourist attractions and your Egypt Family holiday package could not be completed without them. These giant Pyramids stand on Giza plateau for thousands of years and we still know almost nothing about them. In fact, you will approach Cheops Pyramid, Chephren Pyramid, and Menkaure Pyramid. Cheops Pyramid

Chephren (Khafre) Pyramid

The second largest Pyramid on Giza plateau dates back to the fourth Dynasty, Old Kingdom. Chephren is the second son of Cheops and ruled after his brother Ra’djedef who built his tomb at Abu Rawash. It is 14 m less than the Cheops Pyramid but look taller because it was built on a higher place of the Plateau.

Valley temple

Day 3 Cairo Luxor Nile Cruise

After the whole family enjoying the breakfast at the hotel, you will start your way to Cairo airport to take your internal flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will visit Luxor tourist attractions on the east bank of the Nile such as

Karnak temple

The temple of Karnak is the biggest temple all over the world as it covers 60 hectares and it was dedicated to God Amun. All the Egyptian Pharaohs added parts to this complex from the Middle Kingdom till the end of the Greco Roma period. To be specific, you will never see all of it but at least you can see the Hypostyle Hall, Hatshepsut Obelisk, Sacred Lake, and the Scarab. Luxor temple by night

Join your guide to visit Luxor temple by night and explore the avenue of Sphinxes. Luxor temple is smaller comparing to Karnak and it was built by Amenhotep III, and Ramesses the great. Breakfast on board the Nile Cruise then start your Luxor attractions on the west bank of the Nile.

Valley of the Kings

A visit to the Valley of the Kings is one of the best things to do especially you can visit Tutankhamun tomb. In fact, the Valley was used for about 500 years as a burial place for all the Pharaohs of the Eighteenth Dynasty, Nineteenth Dynasty and Twentieth Dynasty. Meanwhile, you can visit three tombs included in your ticket like Tomb of King Ramses V, Tomb of King Ramesses I, Tomb of King Ramesses X, Tomb of King Ramesses XI, Tomb of King Ramesses III, and Merenptah tomb. Hatshepsut temple

Queen Hatshepsut’s engineer Senmut built this temple in Dei El Bahari for his Queen in the same place where Mentohotep II from the Middle kingdom built his temple. The Moratory temple of Hatshepsut is surround by the Nobles tombs and it has unique designs like three terraces. Meanwhile, there are very important Chapels here especially Hathor Chapel and Anubis Chapel. While, the temple has unique daily life scenes like agriculture in ancient Egypt, Music and dance, and trading in ancient Egypt. Besides, the amazing scenes of Punt expedition and the Divine Birth of Hatshepsut.

Memnon Colossi

The Colossi of Memnon are two very huge seated statues for the king Amenhotep III on the throne and on both sides of the throne, there is the Sema tawy sign. Also, the King’s mother Mutemwiya and his wife Tiye are in small scale beside his legs.

At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to the cruise for lunch and sail to Edfu city for overnight.

Day 5 Nile Cruise

The Horus temple visit will be early morning before the breakfast with short ride on horse carriage.

Edfu temple

Edfu temple or Horus temple is one of the baggiest and best-preserved temples in Upper Egypt built by the Ptolemaic kings. Actually, the temple has unique reliefs provide very useful information about ancient Egyptian Mythology, Daily Rituals inside the temple, and the Creation Myths. Also, some of most important ancient Egyptian Festivals especially the Beautiful Reunion marriage between Horus of Edfu and Hathor of Dendera. Besides, the famous struggle between Horus and Seth and the win of Horus over Seth. Finally, a beautiful Mammisi with the divine birth of the Pharaoh.

Later on, back to the Cruise for breakfast and sail till Kom Ombo.

Kom Ombo

Kom Ombo temple is a very small Pharaonic temple almost in ruins but is very unique in its reliefs. In fact, what you will see here, you may won’t see anywhere else in Egypt. The relief of the surgical instruments is here for the first time and explain about medicine and surgery in ancient Egypt. Also, the Sanatorium, two holy of holies, Nilometer, winged sun desk, and the relief of the Division of the temple. Moreover, there is very nice Crocodile Museum for the mummified crocodiles found in the temple.

At the end of your tour, you will go back to your Nile cruise and sail towards Aswan and overnight.

Day 6 Nile Cruise Abu Simbel

Early morning departure to Abu Simbel temples to Marvel the great temple of Ramesses the great and his wife Nefertari. Two hours to enjoy the Kadesh battel scenes between Ramesses and the Hittites. Besides, the offering scenes in front of many gods such as Rahorakhty, Ptah, Osiris, Horus, and Isis.

Admire the soft and delicate scenes of Nefertari with Hathor, Isis, Nephthys, and Ra. Finally, you will be driven back to the Nile Cruise. Lunch on board then start afternoon visit to Aswan attractions

High Dam

Aswan High Dam is one of the largest dams in the world and was built to control the Nile flood, Irrigation water and provide hydroelectric power. It took 10 years between 1960 and 1970 and it created Lake Nasser. Unfortunately, building the High Dam caused many temples to submerge under water like Abu Simbel, Kalabsha temple, Beit El Wali temple, Philae temple, and the temple of Amada, the temple of al-Derr.

Philae temple

The temple of Isis is located on Philae Island behind the Old Aswan Dam and is dedicated to the goddess Isis. Philae temple was one of those submerged temples under water because of the High Dam but it was relocated between 1972 and 1980. In fact, Agilkia island house many temples like Mandolis temple and Arhesnoter temple. Also, small temple for Hathor, another one for Imhotep, the builder of Djoser Pyramid. Indeed, a lot of amazing reliefs are covering the walls such as the Myth of Osiris, the Greek and hieroglyphic inscriptions helped in the decipherment of hieroglyphics together with Rosetta Stone. The oldest mention dates back to Nectanebo II and Ptolemy II started the present temple.

We know a lot about ancient Egyptian festivals from Philae temple especially every 10 days festivals when Isis visits her Husband Osiris in Pigah Island. Finally, there is a very beautiful Mammisi in Philae together with Trajan Kiosk.

Day 7 disembarkation – Aswan – Cairo

Cairo Citadel

The Citadel of Saladin is one of Cairo tourist attraction and was built by Saladin in 1176 AD on the highest point between Mokattam Hills and the Nile River. Even if the Ayyubid Dynasty, Mamluks Dynasty, and Ottoman Dynasty used the citadel as a seat of the government. Later on, Khedive Ismail moved the seat of government to Abdeen Palace.

There are a lot to see here such as the Military Museum, Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalaun Mosque, Mosque of Sulayman Pasha.

Alabaster Mosque

If you like spiritual places, the Alabaster Mosque is a must-see. One of the best things to do in Cairo is to visit the Citadel and Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Huge mosque with 88m two minarets, very huge central doom, Mausoleum for the owner, Ablution Fountain, and the Clock tower. Above all, outside the Mosque you can catch the best view for Cairo attractions like Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque, Sultan Hassan Mosque, Al Rifae Mosque.
