Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Giza’s Ancient Wonders

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our local representative who will assist you with the immigration process and luggage collection. After that, you’ll be transferred in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle directly to the Giza Plateau, home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Giza Pyramids.

After a delicious Breakfast at the hotel, you’ll begin a journey through time exploring the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest archaeological museum.  Actually, the museum’s Hanging Obelisk, Grand Hall, massive staircase adorned with statues of pharaohs, and several galleries showcasing thousands of artifacts.  Moreover, you can admire the Tutankhamun Galleries, Solar Boar against charge if you like.

Following your museum visit, a satisfying lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, your Cairo attractions continue at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC). This modern museum provides a comprehensive overview of Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the present day, with a highlight being the Royal Mummies’ Hall, where you can view the mummies of ancient kings and queens in a specially designed, evocative setting.

Later, you’ll venture to the imposing Citadel of Saladin, a medieval Islamic fortification offering panoramic views of Cairo. Within the Citadel, you’ll visit the stunning Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, an architectural masterpiece with its distinctive domes and minarets.

After that, you’ll be transferred back to the hotel for overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo to Luxor & Valley of the Kings Breakfast

Your morning will begin early with Breakfast at the hotel in Cairo before you are transferred to Cairo International Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor about one hour.

Upon your arrival at Luxor International Airport, you’ll be met by your local guide and immediately begin your exploration of Luxor attractions, starting with the incredible sites on the West Bank of the Nile.

Your first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis where pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including the famous Tutankhamun, Ramesses, Amenhotep were laid to rest in rock-cut tombs. You’ll descend into some of the open tombs (typically three are included in the standard ticket) to marvel at the vibrant hieroglyphics and intricate wall paintings that depict their journey to the afterlife like Book of Dead, and Opening of the Mouth.

Next, you’ll visit the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This unique terraced temple, dedicated to Egypt’s powerful female pharaoh, stands majestically against the dramatic cliffs. Here, you can admire the Hathor chapel, Anubis chapel, Punt Expedition and the Divine Birth of Hatshepsut.

Then, you will have a short stop at the colossal Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which once guarded the entrance to his mortuary temple. Though the temple itself is largely gone, these towering figures remain an impressive sight.

Day 4: Nile River Temples & Aswan Breakfast

After enjoying Breakfast at the hotel in Luxor, you’ll begin your scenic drive towards Edfu, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours south. Your first stop is the remarkably preserved Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. This Ptolemaic temple, largely covered by sand for centuries, is one of the most complete and well-preserved ancient Egyptian temples, offering an incredible insight into temple rituals and daily life within its walls. You’ll explore its grand courtyards, hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries, admiring the intricate hieroglyphs and reliefs that depict the mythical battle between Horus and Set.

Kom Ombo temple | Double temple

Next, you’ll continue to the unique Kom Ombo Temple, Double temple, symmetrically dedicated to two deities, Sobek, and Horus the Elder (Haroeris). Actually, you’ll discover the two parallel entrances, courts, and sanctuaries, each dedicated to its respective god. The temple also features fascinating reliefs, including one believed to depict ancient surgical instruments, Ancient Calendar. Adjacent to the temple, a small Crocodile Museum houses mummified crocodiles found in the area, honoring Sobek.

Later on, you’ll continue your journey south to the charming city of Aswan. Upon arrival, you will check-in at your Aswan hotel for overnight.

Day 5: Abu Simbel & Philae Temple to Cairo

Your day begins with an early departure from Aswan with breakfast boxes from your hotel as you set off to the magnificent Abu Simbel.

Upon arrival, you’ll be mesmerized by the sheer scale of the two temples of Abu Simbel: the Great Temple, dedicated to Ramesses II himself, and the Small Temple, dedicated to his beloved chief wife, Queen Nefertari. The temple’s elegant pylons, courtyards, and sanctuaries are a delight to explore, adorned with intricate reliefs that tell stories of gods and pharaohs.

Following your visit to Philae, you’ll be transferred to Aswan Airport to catch your domestic flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your Cairo hotel for overnight, concluding a truly spectacular day of ancient wonders.
