Itinerary
Day 1: Aswan’s Ancient Wonders and Sailing to Kom Ombo
Your unforgettable Nile adventure begins in Aswan!
Upon your arrival, our friendly guide will be waiting to meet you, whether you’re at the Aswan Airport, the Train Station, or your Aswan hotel. We’ll jump straight into exploring some of Aswan’s main attractions.
First up is the impressive Aswan High Dam, a modern marvel of engineering. You’ll also see the symbolic Egyptian-Soviet Friendship Monument nearby, which celebrates the partnership that made the dam possible.
Next, we’ll drive to the majestic Philae Temple. From the mainland, we’ll take a short, scenic motorboat ride across the water to Agilkia Island. This island is the stunning new home of the Temple of Isis, one of the best-preserved Egyptian temples and known in ancient times as a healing center. Take your time to walk through its beautiful, historic courtyards.
After our temple visit, we’ll head back to the car and drive directly to your Turquoise Dahabiya Nile Cruise. This beautiful sailboat will be your home for the next few days.
You’ll check in and enjoy your first delicious lunch on board as the Dahabiya begins its peaceful journey. We’ll be sailing towards our first stop: Kom Ombo Temple.
In the afternoon, we’ll disembark to visit Kom Ombo Temple. This unique structure is dedicated to two gods—Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris the falcon god. After exploring the temple, we’ll take a quick look at the nearby Crocodile Museum before returning to the boat.
We’ll then continue sailing until we reach Meniha Island. Here, we’ll anchor for the night. Enjoy a wonderful dinner on board under the stars, feeling the serene calm of the Nile.

Day 2: Ancient Quarries and Local Village Life
We start our day with a delicious breakfast on board.
After breakfast, we continue sailing. We journey towards Gebel El Silsila. This area holds ancient stone quarries. These quarries provided the stone used for building the great Luxor temples. It is truly fascinating to see this historic site.
Later, we explore an authentic Egyptian gem. We visit Bissao Village. Here, we experience local life and traditions. We will visit one of the village houses. This offers a unique cultural look.
In the afternoon, we resume sailing. We cruise towards Fawaza Island. We will anchor here for the evening. You will enjoy a lovely dinner on board. The Nile provides a tranquil backdrop for the night.

Day 3: Majestic Temples and Rock-Cut Tombs
We begin our day with a pleasant breakfast on board.
We sail leisurely towards Edfu City. Upon arrival, we enjoy a fun, typical Egyptian transportation method. We ride a charming horse-drawn carriage to the temple.
We visit the magnificent Edfu Temple. It is the best-preserved temple in Egypt. This grand structure is dedicated to Horus Behdity, the falcon god. Your guide will lead a detailed tour through the temple’s halls.
After the visit, we return to the Dahabiya. We continue sailing north. Our next destination is the fascinating El Kab rock-cut tombs.
We explore these ancient burial sites. You will see famous examples. These include the Tomb of Ahmose Son of Ibana. Another is the Tomb of Paheri. Finally, we view the Tomb of Setau. These tombs offer a deep look into ancient Egyptian life.
Later in the afternoon, we continue sailing to Esna. We will anchor for the night near Namesa Village. Enjoy your final delicious dinner on board your beautiful Dahabiya.

Day 4: Luxor’s East & West Bank Treasures
Your final day begins with a last breakfast on board.
After breakfast, we complete the check-out process. Then, we take an approximately one-hour drive to Luxor. We start immediately exploring Luxor’s incredible attractions.
Our focus is the legendary West Bank. First, we visit the Valley of the Kings. Here, you will explore the tombs of the pharaohs. Next, we travel to the unique Temple of Hatshepsut. This memorial temple is set dramatically into the cliffs. Finally, we see the towering Colossi of Memnon. These two huge statues once guarded an ancient complex.
We pause for a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we end our tour on the East Bank. We explore the monumental Karnak Temple. This vast site is the largest religious building ever constructed. It is a stunning display of Egyptian power and artistry.
After a full day of touring, your guide will provide a private transfer. We will take you wherever you like in Luxor. This could be your hotel, the airport, or the train station.
